This is a review for the Rooster Ridge Car Care at 10441 Kuykendahl Rd, The Woodlands TX. On 06/22/2022 I went to replace the brake pads on my car. I was given a verbal quote of $574 to replace the brake pads and rotors. However, when I came to pick up my car I was charged $1300. The guy who worked the counter said that there is nothing he could do for me, I must pay for it since the work was done, and I can come to speak to the manager the next morning. After I paid, he gave me the receipt and a different printed estimate. Why was I given a written estimate only after I paid??? They should have given the estimate to me before the repairs to inform me of all the charges. The next morning, the manager insisted that I misunderstood and the quote was $574 per axle, as the owner himself gave me the quote and he couldn’t have misquoted me. She further said that there was clearly a communication barrier because of my broken English. I found it insulting as my English is not broken, I have an accent. They also advertise on their website that customers get a free ride, however I was charged for the Lyft and the manager only agreed to refund the Lyft ride charge. The manager stated they have video surveillance proof of what happened but refused to show it when we requested to see it. Why not just show it and prove what they say? Needless to say I will not be back at this place. 07/03/2022 update - The manager lied about the Lyft refund. No refund was issued for their advertised free Lyft rides. Very dishonest business.
